# Inference

> Inference is the marketing practice of Thom Cummings — a 20+ year operator rebuilding marketing for the AI era. One practice, three ways in: a publication, a library of marketing-system products, and hands-on consulting. Based in Brighton, UK.

The thesis: AI didn't add a layer to marketing — it's rebuilding every layer underneath. Good strategy scales beautifully; bad strategy scales and compounds. Inference helps companies build marketing systems that are worth scaling — positioning, growth architecture, and operational infrastructure — before they accelerate them with AI.
